Ellen DeGenere’s new lifestyle brand

Look out Martha Stewart, because Ellen DeGeneres is moving from our living room and into our entire home! And we can’t wait.

Ellen DeGeneres – who if you’re living under a rock, is the hilarious talk show host who tweeted the most popular Twitter selfie of all time – is now launching her very own lifestyle brand.

Known as E.D. (pronounced “Ed” – wife Portia de Rossi’s nickname for the comedic host), the product line will include a range of home, fashion and pet items with the first release of home decor and sleepwear scheduled for October/November this year. A full launch, which will include home and garden items, clothing and accessories is set for mid-2015.

And this isn’t a one-off venture – “I’m not trying to launch a little boutique situation,” Ellen explained to WWD and confirms that she plans on continuing E.D. even after her talk show wraps up one day.

Want a piece of Ellen goodness? E.D. is set to launch online with a yet-to-be-confirmed major retailer as opposed to physical stores at this stage, which hopefully hints at the possibility of international shipping, which is good news for all of us Down Under.

And on her predicted success, even though she’s one of the funniest people in the world, we really don’t think she’s joking when she says, “They say we’re going to be on another planet soon, right? I’m going to be the first brand on that planet.” If anyone can, it’s her!
